I noticed that a lot of people build their homes for the Sims using real life house plans, so I thought I'd give it a go. I found a tutorial on the official site's forums called Zoo U. I think it turned out rather well and I may even upload it to download as soon as I figure out how...

So anyway, like the tutorial suggests, I started out with estimating how many walls each side of the house plan would be. Then, I did an outline using white floor tiles before sectioning off each room in the plan using the black fencing in build mode.

I then began to add the walls:

Once the walls were done, I cleared out the white floor tile and added windows and doors in the places they were on the house plan:

Then I wallpapered the walls and added wood flooring:

Then I added the porches that the plan had, since I forgot to put the house on foundation, it's more like patios. I then added a pool.

Once that was done, I furnished it.

The home includes a master bedroom with walk-in closet, two smaller bedrooms, three baths, a foyer, living room, kitchen with breakfast nook, a separate dining room, pantry, laundry room, hobby/exercise room, and a two car garage.

Just some more pictures...

Come One, Come All...Hello :)

Hello and welcome to my blog for my various Sims 3 family stories. Most of my challenges will be posted either here or on their own blogs, to which I will link to here. This blog is just for random stories I decide to create using my wonderful, virtual dollhouse called the Sims.
